We illustrate a few popular Randomized Response Techniques to elicit responses to sensitive items. Both qualitative and quantitative characteristics are covered. General Sampling Schemes even without replacement are permitted. Also allowed is an option to respond directly keeping this exercise as a secret. Certain relevant procedures are critically examined.

Biography: Arijit Chaudhuri is a professor in the Applied Statistics Unit at the Indian Statistical Institute. Dr. Chaudhuri has published nearly 90 research papers in a variety of journals. He is the co-author of Survey Sampling: Theory and Methods, Second Edition (CRC Press, March 2005). His research interests include survey sampling and reliability.
